The Bay Fair BART station in San Leandro has reopened after a report of someone pointing a gun prompted the closure of the station for just over an hour tonight, a BART spokesman said. The station closed at about 7:55 p.m. when someone reported that
one or two people were aiming a gun at the station, BART spokesman Linton Johnson said. He said there was no report of shots fired. BART lines that travel through the station experienced delays of up to 30 minutes and the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District provided substitute service during the closure, Johnson said. The station reopened at about 9 p.m.  Johnson said police went to a home where they believed the suspects were located, but it was not immediately clear as to whether any arrests were made.
