A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of raping a 19-year-old woman in unincorporated Monterey County near Carmel by the Sea. Stephen Wayne Driscoll was arrested after sheriff’s deputies responded at about 9 p.m. Saturday to a report of a rape that had allegedly just occurred at his home on Baldwin Place, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The female victim told investigators that she had known Driscoll for about four weeks, and that he had forced sexual intercourse with her against her will, according to the sheriff’s office.
