A man was shot several times Friday night during an armed robbery at a taqueria in Antioch, police said. Police responded to a report of a shooting at around 8:20 p.m. at Taqueria La Sierra, located at 901 H St., according to the Antioch Police Department. Arriving officers found a 29-year-old Antioch man suffering numerous gunshot wounds to his upper body and legs. Three men had reportedly followed the owner of the taqueria, a 39-year-old Antioch woman, into her business. Once inside, they pulled out
handguns and demanded cash. When the victim then entered the taqueria, the suspects shot him several times, emptied the cash register and fled. The shooting victim was taken by air transport to a hospital where he remained in surgery this morning, according to police. He was expected to survive his injuries.  The woman was not injured during the robbery, according to police.
