* Driver Arrested For DUI After SUV Crashes Into San Ramon Apartment

A 37-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing a sport utility vehicle into a San Ramon apartment early this morning, a police sergeant said. Officers responded shortly after 2 a.m. to the No. 30 building ofCedar Point Loop apartments where the SUV was found entirely inside the home, according to San Ramon police Sgt. Pat Cerruti. The vehicle had apparently crashed into the porch, through the sliding glass doors and into the living room area of the home, Cerruti said. An elderly woman living in the home was uninjured but transported to a local hospital as a precaution, according to Cerruti. The driver of the SUV was also uninjured and was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, Cerruti said.
