A man shot at officers from inside his touristy hotel room in San Francisco’s Marina District early this morning during two-hour standoff, according a police sergeant. Waddell Williams, 33, was arrested around 1 a.m. on suspicion of attempted murder for shooting at the officers, assault with a deadly weapon and illegally possessing a firearm, Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said. Police responded to shots fired from a room in the Chelsea Motor Inn at Lombard and Webster streets around 11 p.m. When the first two officers
arrived, police said Williams shot through the door at them. The officers took cover and called for back up, Tomioka said.  He was in police custody within two hours, she said. Williams was staying at the hotel but she did not know where he was from, how long he had been staying there or why he fired the shots. No one was injured.
