A 40-year-old man has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed Tuesday evening in a collision with a hit-and-run driver west of Gilroy, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office. Raul Heredia of Gilroy was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision with a truck shortly before 6 p.m. in the area of Watsonville and Redwood Retreat roads in an unincorporated part of the county, according to the medical examiner’s office. The hit-and-run vehicle, a white 1995 Nissan pickup truck, was pulling a trailer filled with gardening equipment and had a California license plate No. 7F91694, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
