* Monterey Sheriff Identifies Froylan Hernandez as Dead Body Found on San Juan Grade Road in Salinas

Sheriff’s investigators have determined that a man found dead on a rural road in Monterey County on Sunday morning was killed by blunt force trauma to the head. The announcement was made Tuesday after relatives of Froylan Hernandez, a 30-year-old Salinas man, were notified that the man’s body had been discovered two days earlier off of San Juan Grade Road at around 9:45a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. An investigation into the man’s death is continuing, according to the sheriff’s office.
