A 27-year-old man was taken into custody this morning after running away from police on the train tracks between two BART stations in San Francisco, causing brief delays in train service, San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said. Dion Jackson was arrested on drug charges after fleeing from San Francisco police and entering the 16th Street Mission station, where he ran
away from police along the underground tracks, Williams said. The incident caused BART to turn off power to the tracks at about
7:20 a.m. while police pursued Jackson, who was eventually arrested at the Civic Center station, according to Williams.  Trains were running through the area again at about 7:40 a.m. and BART trains were back on their regular schedule as of 9:45 a.m. after
experiencing residual systemwide delays of about 20 minutes during the morning commute, a BART dispatcher said.
