* Oakland Man Jesse James Blue Charged With Murder Of His Girlfriend 18-Year-Old Ayesha Thomason

A 21-year-old Oakland man has been charged with murder for allegedly shooting to death his girlfriend after she broke up with him and returned a ring to him, Alameda County Assistant District Attorney Tom Rogers said today Jesse James Blue was arraigned in Alameda County Superior Court on Thursday afternoon and was scheduled to return to court today to be assigned an attorney and possibly enter a plea.The charges against Blue stem from a shooting at 9820 C St. at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday that claimed the life of 18-year-old Ayesha Thomason of Oakland.Rogers said Thomason had spent the previous night with Blue at his residence, but in the morning she broke up with him and returned a ring to him.He said Blue went to Thomason’s residence at 9820 C. St. later that morning and allegedly shot her there.In addition to murder, Blue is charged with using a gun. If he’s convicted of first-degree murder and using a gun he would receive a state prison term of 50 years to life.
