* San Rafael Police Arrest Pedro Changongora, 32, For Stabbing His Friend

San Rafael police said a man was stabbed in the back by his friend during an argument Thursday morning.The 37-year-old victim was treated at Marin General Hospital and released. Police arrested Pedro Changongora, 32, for assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Marin County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.Police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said the two men were up all night drinking and talking then began arguing and physically fighting.Officers responded to an apartment in the first block of Canal Street around 8 a.m. after a young child in a neighboring apartment called police to report a loud argument, Rohrbacher said.Police found the victim with a knife buried to the hilt in his upper back, Rohrbacher said.Changongora was arrested at the scene, police said.
