* Update-ARRESTED-Demarko Peace Wanted for San Leandro Carjacking

Update June 13th 2009-Demarko Peace has been arrested by the San Francisco Police Department.

The San Leandro Police Department is seeking Demarko Peace on a warrant charging him with Carjacking. Detective Tai Nguyen reports that the victim was selling a car (Buick lic.# 6GGT808) for his friend and had it listed on Craig’s List. On June 9th, 2009 at about 12pm a suspect who was later identified as Peace contacted the victim in order to look and possibly buy the car. At about 5:30pm, the victim met Peace at the Marina Square Shopping Center at 1259 Marina Blvd. When he met with the victim, Peace wanted to test drive the vehicle. The victim then let Peace drive as the victim sat in the passenger seat. As Peace drove onto northbound Hwy 880, Peace pulled out a gun, pointed at the victim, saying “This is a carjacking.” Peace then also demanded all the contents of the victim’s pockets. Peace then exited on Davis Street ordered the victim out of the car and drove away northbound on Hwy 880. Peace is described as a Black male, 5-9, 132 lbs, black hair, brown eyes and has gold grills on top and bottom teeth. His last know address was in the 3100 block of 14th Avenue in Oakland. He is also associated to and may frequent the 800 block of 46th Street Oakland and the 400 block of Sawyer Street in San Francisco. This is a photo of the stolen car.
