Antioch police today announced the arrest of a suspect in a cold case bank robbery that occurred in early 2008. A police detective kept a surveillance photo of the suspect over his desk for a year and a half before finally identifying and arresting the man last week, police said. The crime occurred on Jan. 28, 2008, when two men robbed the U.S. Bank branch inside the Raley’s supermarket on Lone Tree Way at gunpoint, police said.Shortly after the robbery, police arrested Slava McDonald, 20. He has since been charged with burglary and three counts of armed robbery, according to court records. He was scheduled to appear in Contra Costa County Superior Court this afternoon.
