Two women had their purses stolen in separate strong-arm robberies in Fairfield store parking lots Thursday night, police said.Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of a Walmart Supercenter store at 300 Chadbourne Road around 11:35 p.m.A 33-year-old Suisun City woman was walking to her car when a man waiting in a black, two-door sedan got out, pushed her to the ground and stole her purse, police said. The woman suffered minor injuries.The suspect was described as an Asian man, possibly Filipino, around 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds.He had a shaved head and wore dark clothing, and he was last seen fleeing east on Highway 12 in the sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi Galant.Officers responded to a separate report of a robbery in the parking lot of a Safeway store at 2401 Waterman Blvd. around midnight, policesaid. A 56-year-old Fairfield woman was walking toward the store entrance when a suspect exited the passenger side of a dark, newer-model sedan and grabbed her purse. The victim was pushed to the ground when she attempted to resist, and also suffered minor injuries.The suspect got back into the sedan and fled onto Waterman Boulevard.He was described as a black man around 20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds.
