* Belmont 88-Year-Old Man Is Victim Of Home Invasion, 2500 Block Of Hallmark Drive

An 88-year-old man assaulted in his Belmont residence during a home invasion robbery on Tuesday is at a hospital in critical condition, police said late Wednesday.Investigators continue to ask for the public’s help in the search for the suspect, who caused serious injuries to the victim’s head and face during the assault.The home invasion robbery happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Hallmark Drive, according to the Belmont Police Department. The suspect is believed to have fled in victim’s gray, four-door 2004 Jaguar X-Type. Investigators are asking Bay Area residents to keep an eye out for the stolen car, which has a California license plate of 5KBV409. Anyone who sees the stolen Jaguar should call 911, and anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Belmont Police Department at (650) 595-7400 or the Belmont Crime tip line at (650) 598-3000.
