* Pittsburg Man 33-Year-Old Donaciano Jimenez Identified As Man Found Dead At 1900 Block Of Morro Drive After Domestic Dispute

A man who fatally shot himself after an alleged domestic violence incident in Pittsburg on Monday night has been identified as 33-year-old Donaciano Jimenez, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.Police received a call at about 9:40 p.m. Monday from a woman who said she had been held at gunpoint inside her home in the 1900 block of Morro Drive, Pittsburg police Lt. Brian Addington said.The woman told police her ex-husband had forcibly entered with a handgun, threatened to kill her and held her against her will for more than an hour.The woman told police she had escaped uninjured with her 10-year-old daughter, but Jimenez remained inside her home, Addington said.A shelter-in-place warning was issued to residents in the area while police responded to the incident.Officers attempted unsuccessfully to make contact with the gunman and then, at about 2:30 a.m. today, a SWAT team forced entry on the home and found Jimenez dead, Addington said.The coroner’s office conducted an autopsy today and found that Jimenez died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
