Authorities with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an incident in which a home and three vehicles near Castroville were struck by gunfire Thursday night. The incident was reported at about 9:35 p.m. in the 11800 block of Rico Street, where deputies responded to a report of shots heard in the area, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators found that three vehicles and a home were struck by gunfire, but no one was injured. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
