*Gregory Mawn Arrested in Santa Rosa For Alleged Child Annoyance and Burglary

Santa Rosa police arrested a 40-year-old man for child annoyance, burglary and probation violation after he allegedly entered a neighbor’s home and approached a 13-year-old girl early Sunday morning. Gregory Mawn, of Santa Rosa, was arrested after the incident, which was reported at about 2:20 a.m. in the 2100 block of Tokay Street, according to police. Arriving officers were told by the girl that a man entered her home and approached her, police said. The victim was able to alert a parent who was asleep in another bedroom, causing the suspect to flee. The girl identified the suspect as Mawn, a neighbor who lives nearby, according to police. Officers contacted Mawn at his residence and arrested him after finding evidence and property that linked him to the entrance of the neighbor’s home to annoy or molest a child, as well as theft.
