A 26-year-old Fairfield woman was arrested for domestic assault Thursday after she allegedly stabbed a man in the apartment they shared. Officers responded to the 2100 block of W. Texas St. to a report of a stabbing just after noon, according to the Fairfield Police Department. During the course of an argument in the apartment she shared with the victim, Leslie Laporte reportedly picked up a knife and began slashing his arm. The victim was transported to North Bay Medical Center to be treated for injuries that were not expected to be life threatening, according to police. Laporte, who had fled the apartment when the victim’s friend arrived and called the police, was found running across Oliver Road and arrested. She was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and felony domestic violence, according to police.
