*Man Arrested After Allegedly Robbing Guerrero’s Mercado at 500 S. First St., Garcia said.

A 33-year-old San Jose man was arrested after allegedly robbing a convenience store in the city this morning, according to police Officer Jose Garcia. The robbery was reported at about 11:15 a.m. at Guerrero’s Mercado at 500 S. First St., Garcia said.  The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, went in and robbed the store by threatening employees, according to Garcia, who said no one was injured in the incident.  A weapon was initially reported to be used in the robbery, but Garcia later said no weapon was displayed. The suspect was apprehended on foot soon after the robbery and will be booked into Santa Clara County jail, Garcia said.
