Three San Jose men have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in Marinwood early Wednesday morning, a Marin County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said today.Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call around 4:30 a.m. Monday from a Marinwood resident who was reporting an argument at Blackstone Drive and Las Gallinas Avenue, Sgt. Debra Barry said.Deputies saw two vehicles leaving the area and approached one of them at the top of Las Gallinas Avenue, Barry said. One passenger exited the car and ran into nearby open space but deputies detained the car’s three other occupants, Barry said.Deputies located the other vehicle nearby. It contained a female driver and a man suffering from cuts on his face. He was treated at the scene.The man said he had been cut with an object and kicked in the face, and the driver of the vehicle said she believed she heard a Taser-type noise during the attack, Barry said.The victim and other the female driver identified the three detained suspects as the assailants, Barry said.Deputies arrested Emilio Romayor, 18, Rogelio Romayor, 21, and Alexander Landis, 18, all of San Jose. They were booked into the Marin County jail for assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.Emilio Romayor was found to be in possession of a pocketknife and
Rogelio Romayor possessed a box cutter, Barry said. A Taser-like stun gun was found in the suspects’ vehicle, Barry said. Deputies, a Novato police dog and San Rafael police searched for the fourth suspect but didn’t find him, Barry said. The sheriff’s office has not released details on a possible motive for the assault but Barry said it doesn’t appear the suspects and the victim knew each other.
