  • I actually went to this school back in the 80s..it was an awful school then so I can’t imagine what it’s like now. Kids dont have any respect. I blame a lot of it on parents who shug their responsibilities because they refuse to believe their little “angels” are anything but!

  • This is all nothing new. The abuse potential has been brewing there since my daughter went there for a portion of 7th grade (2006). The atmosphere and continued threats of bodily harm scared my daughter to where she not only could not pay attention in class (whispered threats), but also lead to poor grades ( a C, D’s and F’s) and a poor self esteem. I home schooled her for the rest of 7th and 8th grade, then put in private high school where she has consistently earned 3.5 to 4.0 GPA. Portola is full of a high percentage of students that have no other aspirations, except to be in a gang or start a rap group. Living in the neighborhood, I’m sure you can check the police blotters the high crime rate in the immediate area. We’re moving soon.
