San Jose police have located a blue 1998 Audi A4 belonging to a 49-year-old San Jose man who went missing April 30 after text-messaging his girlfriend that he was going stargazing on Mount Hamilton.Officer Jermaine Thomas said police found Perzov’s Audi on Sunday in the parking lot of Big Basin Redwoods State Park in Santa Cruz County.After Perzov went missing, his girlfriend, Teresa Hanson, said she searched through Perzov’s computer and his personal records and found that he had researched Santa Cruz County parks the day of his disappearance and on the previous day.Hanson revealed also that Perzov carried a gun in the trunk of his car, but Thomas declined to comment on the vehicle’s contents.Thomas said police are still investigating the disappearance as a missing persons case and that they’ve had no indication to believe foul play was involved.Thomas said police will now concentrate their efforts in Santa Cruz County and at the state park where Perzov’s car was found. Immediately after Perzov disappeared, officers began searching Mount Hamilton in San Jose, where he’d told Hanson he was heading. The text message was the last contact Hanson said she had with him.Thomas said Perzov’s family is continuing to assist police in the investigation.Perzov was last seen at a Shell gas station at the corner of Meridian and Hamilton avenues around 3 p.m. on April 30. His disappearance was reported the next day.
