The Oakland Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the death of a 97-year-old woman whose body was found in an apartment Monday.Police spokesman Jeff Thomason said today Oakland homicide detectives are investigating the death of Ivarene Lett, whose body was found at about 8:10 p.m. in the 300 block of Lee Street. Lett had suffered blunt trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Thomason said.An autopsy was conducted this morning, but the official cause of death remains under investigation, according to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau.Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums, who announced the reward, said in a statement released tonight, “Ivarene Beatrice led a vibrant independent life.
