*Gilroy Police Search for Fourth Suspect in Gang Related Stabbing on 7100 Block of Monterey Road

Gilroy police arrested three men and are searching for a fourth who may have been involved in a gang-related stabbing today. San Jose residents Ricardo Montoya, 19, and Celso Flores, 22, and Gilroy resident Julio Larios, 20, were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person with a deadly weapon in the 7100 block of Monterey Road around 5:15 p.m., police said. An officer had seen a victim being assaulted by at least four gang members at the time, at least two who were armed with stabbing instruments, according to the Police Department. The victim was stabbed during the assault. The suspects all fled the scene, but officers immediately arrested Montoya and found and arrested Larios and Flores, who were positively identified as suspects in the assault. The three were booked in Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, commission of a gang crime and probation violation.
