* Novato, Clifford Hughes, 63, Arrested For Suspicion Of DUI When He Drove His Corvette Into A Restaurant At 354 Bel Marin Keyes Blvd

A Marinwood man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday after his Corvette crashed into the Taqueria Real restaurant in Novato, police said.The Corvette was backing up in the parking lot of the eatery at 354 Bel Marin Keyes Blvd. around 8:15 p.m. when it drove into the restaurant, police said. None of the restaurant patrons were injured, police said. The driver, Ronald Clifford Hughes, 63, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Novato Community Hospital, Lt. John McCarthy said. He was booked into Marin County jail on suspicion of DUI.
