The Berkeley Police Department announced Tuesday that a $17,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a hit-and-run last week that killed a 54-year-old Berkeley man.The city of Berkeley is offering $15,000, while the additional $2,000 is coming from Bay Area Crime Stoppers, according to Berkeley police. Police responded on April 29 to the area of Adeline and Harmon streets and found a man who had been the victim of an apparent hit-and-run.The man, later identified as William Ladd Henderson, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead Monday.The suspect vehicle has been described as a dark green or dark blue 1990s Buick Park Avenue with large chrome rims, police said.Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call the Berkeley Police Department’s traffic division at (510) 981-5980 or (510) 981-5900.
