The Monterey County coroner’s office today identified 39-year-old Stephen Zapasnik as the man whose body was found in waters off Monterey on Saturday.     Zapasnik, of Monterey, was reported missing Saturday morning and had last been seen walking on the beach near Cannery Row, said Monterey police spokesman Randy Taylor. The U.S. Coast Guard recovered his body later Saturday in waters near the Monterey Bay Aquarium, according to Taylor. Taylor said today it appears the death was the result of an accidental drowning, but the official cause is pending the results of an autopsy.
