*Petaluma Driver Who Wouldn’t Give Up Keys Stabbed in the Abdomen

Police in Petaluma are looking for a suspect who stabbed a victim in the abdomen in a car early this morning when the person refused to give up their keys. At about 12:15 a.m., police responded to Petaluma Valley Hospital on a call of a stabbing victim. The victim and a passenger reported that they parked the vehicle
on Second Street at D Street and were exiting the vehicle when they were approached by a male dressed in dark clothing. The suspect asked the victim for the keys to the car, and when the victim refused the suspect stabbed the person with an unknown object and fled on foot, according to police. The passenger in the victim’s vehicle drove the injured driver to Petaluma Valley Hospital. The victim was being treated this morning was reported to be in stable condition.
