Two Arrested. See Press Release Below-
Fugitive Watch is pleased to announce that an alleged fraud ring was broken up and fraud suspects identified when police found the suspect’s very own Wanted Posters in their car get away car. On May 1, 2009 alleged fraud suspects Mark Guardado and Brook Ann De La Cruz were arrested by store security at the Kohl’s Department Store at McKee Road and Jackson Avenue in east San Jose as they allegedly attempted to use fraudulent documents to make purchases. When San Jose police officers arrived and searched their get away car, they found more evidence of identity theft and mail fraud.  Coincidently police officers also found that Guardado and De La Cruz had downloaded and printed out copies of themselves on surveillance photos from the Fugitive Watch web site. The surveillance photos were taken of them as they allegedly used fraudulent checks and identification at numerous stores in San Jose and Campbell. Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies had submitted the surveillance photos to Fugitive Watch asking the public to help in identifying them.  The 3rd suspect in the surveillance photos is still unidentified and remains at large.  San Jose detectives are being joined by sheriff’s detectives and US postal investigators in the investigation.
