Santa Rosa police have arrested a Rohnert Park woman for vehicular manslaughter in connection with a three-vehicle crash that killed a 5-year-old boy in west Santa Rosa on Tuesday afternoon.The boy’s name has not been released. Brandi Hanley, 32, was driving a Ford Explorer east on Guerneville Road when it struck a Toyota Matrix and a Toyota Celica that were stopped on eastbound Guerneville Road at the intersection with Marlow Road around 5:30 p.m., Sgt. Lisa Banayat said.The impact forced the Toyota Matrix into a utility pole in the southeast corner of the intersection, Banayat said. The boy who was killed was in the back seat of the Toyota Matrix, which his father was driving, Banayat said. The father and a female front passenger in the Matrix were hospitalized, but the father has been released from the hospital, Banayat said.The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota Celica was also treated at a hospital and released.Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, but Hanley’s license had been suspended, Banayat said. Hanley also was treated and released from the hospital.The crash remains under investigation.
