Novato police have identified Kelton Packard O’Connor as the suspect in Monday’s robbery of a Chase Bank. Sgt. Keith Heiden said O’Connor, 28, is still at large. A $1 million arrest warrant has been issued, Heiden said.Novato police said O’Connor was identified as a suspect in the Novato bank robbery after San Anselmo police said he might also be a suspect in the March 27 robbery of a Tamalpais Bank in San Anselmo based on a surveillance photo from the Novato bank robbery. Novato police Lt. John McCarthy said this morning detectives from both agencies are working together on the investigations.O’Connor is 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. The suspect in the robbery of the Chase Bank in the Vintage Oaks shopping center around 2:40 p.m. displayed a firearm and demanded money, Heiden said. He left the bank on a blue and white Enduro type motorcycle with saddlebags, Heiden said.A Novato patrol unit spotted the motorcycle on Stone Drive but the suspect evaded police by using dirt trails. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office and a California Highway Patrol aircraft also searched for the suspect.
