Richmond police are continuing to investigate the city’s 15th homicide this year, but as of late this morning they still had not been able to confirm the identity of the victim, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said.Police received a call reporting a man slumped over the steering wheel of a car in the 4200 block of Cutting Boulevard in the city’s South Side neighborhood at about 12:30 a.m. today, French said.Officers arrived and found the man dead inside a parked car. It appeared that the shooter had approached the driver’s side window and started firing, French said.Police conducted a neighborhood check and found that someone had heard shots fired shortly after midnight, police Lt. Mike Gormley said.So far investigators have not turned up any leads and do not have a description of the shooter.Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Mike Rood at (510) 620-6625.
