17-Year-Old Girl Robbed at San Rafael Chase Bank ATM

San Rafael police have released a description and photos of a suspect who robbed a 17-year-old girl at the Chase Bank ATM machine at 300 Las Gallinas Ave. on April 12.The victim was approached around 12:10 a.m. by a man who demanded cash, police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said. When the victim refused, the suspect struck the girl in the head with a black semi-automatic handgun, Rohrbacher said. The victim gave the suspect cash and the suspect ran west toward the Sears parking lot, Rohrbacher said. The suspect is black, 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet 5 inches, about 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a furry white hunting-type hat with ear flaps and pink sunglasses with pink-tinted rims, police said.
