*Salinas Man Stephen Guidotti Arrested After Pursuit Leads to Injury

A 31-year-old man was arrested after fleeing from authorities and crashing into another vehicle in Salinas Saturday afternoon, according to the
Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Stephen Guidotti initially fled from a sheriff’s deputy at about 1:35 p.m. in a vehicle traveling south on North Davis Road, according to the sheriff’s office. Guidotti then crashed into another vehicle in the intersection of North Davis Road and West Laurel Drive, injuring one of the passengers in the other car. The victim was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas with neck and back injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Guidotti was arrested after trying to flee on foot following the crash, and methamphetamine and a police scanner were found in the vehicle he was driving, according to the sheriff’s office.
