*Coroner Identifys Eliza Carole Brown as Stabbing Murder Victim

The Alameda County coroner’s bureau today released the identity of a 52-year-old woman who died shortly after she allegedly stabbed a man she was in a relationship with on April 2 in Oakland. Police responded to a possible stabbing around 1:35 p.m. in the 7200 block of Fresno Street where they found Eliza Carole Brown unconscious and the man suffering from stab wounds, police spokesman Jeff Thomason said. Brown was taken to Highland Hospital where she was pronounced dead around 2:40 p.m., according to the coroner’s bureau.The man survived the stabbing.  Due to the nature of the case, it might take a long time to determine how Brown died, according to the coroner’s bureau.
