Oakland police announced today an investigation is underway to determine if there is a connection between two homicides in the city Tuesday.The latest shooting happened at about 10:20 p.m. Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 8300 block of Plymouth Street and found 26-year-old Thomas Cousey suffering gunshot wounds, Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said. Cousey was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.Cousey was acquainted with Warren Ingram, the 21-year-old who was found suffering gunshot wounds in a car at Hillmont and Sunkist drives at about 1:20 a.m., according to Thomason. Investigators determined Ingram had been shot in the 1700 block of 85th Avenue. He was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland, where he was pronounced dead, Thomason said.
