Four alleged gang members were arrested for assaulting and robbing a woman at a Morgan Hill ATM Monday, according to police.A patrol officer on duty downtown at around 6:40 p.m. was told that a robbery had just occurred at a Wells Fargo Bank at 17590 Monterey Road, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. Police were told that three males and a woman, suspected members of the Surenos gang, had been seen driving around the bank before the robbery. Two of the men jumped out of the vehicle and reportedly assaulted a 40-year-old San Jose woman as she walked away from the bank’s cash machine toward her vehicle. Police say she was assaulted from behind and thrown to the ground. The men snatched her purse and returned to their vehicle parked and waiting nearby, according to police. The woman, who received minor injuries during the attack, screamed for help, according to police. Good Samaritans who heard her chased the attackers. The suspects dropped the stolen purse and fled the scene in their vehicle, but not before witnesses were able to write down its license plate number.Investigators had enough information to locate the suspects’ home at 1705 Almond Way in Morgan Hill, and subsequently arrested Jose Diaz, 20, Jesus Diaz, 20, Jessica Uribe, 18, and a juvenile male for robbery.
