The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has identified a Fremont woman found dead Sunday morning near Interstate Highway 880 as 32-year-old Corinna Schmidt.Schmidt’s body was found at about 4 a.m. just north of Thornton Avenue, a victim of a hit-and-run collision, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators are searching for the driver of a light-colored Nissan Sentra who may have witnessed the crash, according to the CHP.
