*Vacaville Police Arrest Edgar Perez As Stabbing Suspect From Intersection Of Berryessa and Shasta

Vacaville police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of stabbing another man during a fight early this morning.Edgar Perez, of Vacaville was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, Sgt. Matt Lydon said.
the fight involved seven males at the intersection of Berryessa and Shasta drives around 1 a.m., Lydon said.The stabbing victim notified the California Highway Patrol and the CHP then informed Vacaville police, Lydon said. The stabbing victim and acquaintances chased the suspect’s vehicle on surface streets in Vacaville and on Interstate Highway 80, Lydon said. The CHP stopped both vehicles on state Highway 113 in Dixon.Perez was identified as the stabbing suspect by the victim and a witness, Lydon said.The stabbing victim was taken to Vaca Valley Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, Lydon said.
