*Santa Rosa Ignacio Moran Kick Arrested For Allegedly Gang-Related

A 24-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder after an allegedly gang-related incident in Santa Rosa that left a man hospitalized with stab wounds Sunday, according to police.Ignacio Moran Kick was arrested in connection with the incident, which began at about 4 a.m. Sunday when Santa Rosa police responded to areport of shots fired at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Range Avenue.Arriving officers found a 21-year-old San Francisco man who had made his way to the sidewalk in front of the apartment complex after suffering a stab wound to his abdomen from a large butcher knife, according to Santa Rosa police.The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is in stable condition and is expected to survive after undergoing emergency surgery, police said.The initial investigation into the incident led authorities to believe it was gang-related, and that the report of shots fired was legitimate and related to the stabbing, according to police.Detectives interviewed numerous witnesses Sunday and the investigation eventually led to the arrest later Sunday of Kick for attempted murder and gang enhancements, police said.Anyone with further information about the incident is encouraged to contact Detective Kohut of the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Violent Crimes Investigation Team at (707) 543-3590.
