Two Vallejo men were arrested early this morning on suspicion of breaking into a home in Pinole and holding the residents at gunpoint while they searched for items to steal, Pinole police said.Police received a call at 12:05 a.m. from someone reporting a possible burglary in progress in a home on Hazel Avenue. When police arrived, they heard people arguing in the backyard. One victim told police that one of the men had pointed a shotgun at them and ordered them to lie facedown on the floor while the second man scoured the house.The gunman then allegedly ordered the residents to move outside while the second man continued his search for items to steal, police said.At some point, the gunman allegedly attempted to flee and the homeowner caught him and held him until officers arrived, police said.The second suspect was arrested while he was still inside the house, police said.Police identified the two men as Steve Bearce, 30, and Blake Anderson, 31. Both men were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of robbery, possession of a firearm and kidnapping.
