*Fugitive Timothy Ian Fink Kills Himself in Big Sur

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department reports that fugitive Timothy Ian Fink shot himself in Big Sur.  Fink was wanted by Colorado authorities was driving a stolen car when he was involved in a car accident.  When deputies arrived the Fink fled the scene on foot.  After a massive search involving sheriff’s deputies, federal and state rangers and aircraft, he was located hiding on a nearby hillside.  As authorities closed in on him, Fink killed himself with a single gunshot to his head.  Please call the Fugitive Watch hot line at 1-800-9-CAUGHT (1-800-922-8448) or text tip at 408-355-0999 if you have any information regarding this incident.

  • This was my brother and a decent human being. He may have had his problems but “George” how can you be so callous about human life to say what you said? Do you noy realize that this was a person dearly loved by a lot of people and you don’t know his back story and why he was driven to the point of suicide. I think your a disgusting person to speak so ambivelently about a life being taken. Do some soul searching.

  • At least he had the decency to not hurt the deputies and save the tax payers money by shooting himself.
