*CHP Looking for Witnesses in Fremont Fatal Hit and Run

California Highway Patrol investigators are searching for thedriver of a light-colored Nissan Sentra who possibly witnessed a fatalhit-and-run this morning on Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont, a spokeswomansaid.The CHP also is trying to contact any other witnesses who mighthave information regarding the hit-and-run that closed lanes of northboundHighway 880 for almost three hours, spokeswoman Cristina Tagle said.The body was found at about 4 a.m. just north of Thornton Avenue,according to CHP Officer Robert Haven.The Alameda County coroner’s bureau was called to the area shortlyafterward.All lanes of northbound Highway 880 were initially shut down.
