*Contra Costa Co. Teen Arrested On Suspicion Of Killing 21-Year-Old Curtis Adams

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in the head in Bay Point Monday evening, Contra Costa County sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said today.The shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. Monday on Marin Avenue at Willow Pass Road in unincorporated Bay Point.Sheriff’s deputies found 21-year-old Curtis Adams on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his head.He was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he died at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, Lee said.Detectives identified a possible suspect in the shooting and served a search warrant at a home on Water Street in Bay Point Tuesday evening. The 16-year-old suspect, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, was arrested at about 7:30 p.m. and booked into juvenile hall in Martinez on suspicion of murder.
