Contra Costa County medical examiners determined today that a 62-year-old woman found dead inside her Richmond home Friday morning died from multiple stab wounds, according to the coroner’s office.Police conducted a welfare check on Donell Dupree at around 11 a.m. Friday and found her dead inside her home in the 700 block of 34th Street, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said. Richmond police Detective Stina Johanson said Dupree appeared to have been dead for some time before police found her, but a time of death has not yet been determined.Her elderly mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and other severe medical problems, was in the house with the body for an unknown period of time. Dupree’s boyfriend, 55-year-old Ricky Pembrook, lived in the home as well and police are calling him a “person of interest” in the case, but haven’t been able to find him to talk to him.Anyone with information about the case or about Pembrook’s whereabouts is asked to call Johanson at (510) 685-1563.
