*Santa Rosa Gang Member Aman Tesfay Berhe Arrested For Shooting Into Vehicle

Santa Rosa police arrested an alleged gang member for attempted murder Thursday after he allegedly shot at a vehicle occupied by two adults and a 4-year-old child Wednesday afternoon.Aman Tesfay Berhe, 24, of Santa Rosa, was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on the attempted murder charge and weapons charges including being a Sggang member in possession of a firearm, sgt. Lisa Banayat said. Police went to 220 Burt St. around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday about a report of shots fired into a vehicle. The two adults and child who were seated in the car at the time of the shooting were not injured but there were five bullet holes in the vehicle, Banayat said.Windsor police stopped Berhe in his vehicle in a residential area just off Old Redwood Highway in Windsor on Thursday, Banayat said.Berhe is on parole and police found a loaded firearm under the seat of his vehicle, Banayat said. Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting.
