Published by on March 19, 2009

Three men broke into a San Jose gun store and stole about 100 firearms this morning, police spokesman Officer Jermaine Thomas said. Police responded to the Gun Exchange at 2902 Almaden Expressway around 4:45 a.m. after being notified that an alarm had been activated there.  “Officers arrived and discovered that the front door had been pried open,” Thomas said. Thomas said a surveillance camera captured images of three masked males. Mike Fournier, co-owner of the store, was taking inventory this morning to determine what was missing. He said it appears the thieves stole mostly semi-automatic handguns but also various other firearms including revolvers and collectible antique guns.  Anyone with information on the burglary is urged to contact the San Jose Police Department’s burglary unit at (408) 277-4401.
