Feb 3, 2009 CONCORD: FBI RELEASES PHOTOS OF ALLEGED BANK ROBBER

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be responsible for three bank robberies in Concord in the past six months.The first robbery happened on Aug. 8 at the Mechanics Bank at 1170 Concord Ave., according to the San Francisco office of the FBI.The suspect was wearing a ski mask and blue jeans and brandished a black semi-automatic handgun during the robbery.The second and third robberies happened at the ECC Bank at 901 Sun Valley Blvd. on Nov. 26 and then again on Jan. 22, according to the FBI.In both of the ECC Bank robberies, the suspect was again wearing a ski mask and blue jeans and brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun.Footage from security cameras shows that the suspect in all three robberies has a tattoo on the back of his left hand. The tattoo is cut off by the suspect’s sweatshirt sleeve and could extend up his forearm, according to the FBI. He is believed to be a white or light-skinned black man about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
