The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who committed the 119th bank robbery reported in the Houston area this year. In 2007, there were a total of 115 bank robberies in the area.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a lone black male approached the teller counter at the International Bank of Commerce located at 3939 Montrose in Houston. He placed a note on the counter which stated “Give up the money and no one will get hurt.” The teller, fearing for her safety, handed the robber some cash from her drawer. He placed the cash into a white plastic grocery bag and fled the scene on foot.

The robbery is the third this year committed at this bank location.

The robber is described by witnesses as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’9″-5’10″ tall, 200-235 pounds, stocky build, dark complexion, with a beard and goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black hoodie, long blue jean shorts, and gray gardening gloves.
