The San Jose and San Mateo Police Departments are asking for your help in identifying the person in this surveillance video. Detective Christopher Proft reports that on August 2 2007, a Victim reported to the San Mateo Police Department that a fraudulent checking account was opened in her name. According to the Victim, earlier in 2007, her purse was stolen in Atherton. The Victim notified her bank and recently determined that some of her checks were also taken. During the month of February 2008, the suspect is this photo went into the “Southern Lumber” store located at 1402 S. First Street in San Jose, and allegedly purchased thousands of dollars worth of material using the Victims name. According to San Mateo Police, the checks have been used at home improvement stores, including Kelly Moore, and Dunn Edwards Paint Store. The Victim’s name on the checks is Cynthia Peterson, with an address in San Mateo California. Please call the Fugitive Watch Hot Line at 1-800-9-CAUGHT if you know the name of this woman.
